  • That's right, I now remember you in Heavy Equipment and I believe that you did some of my training on things like the runway sweeper, mule, refueller, etc. Although it doesn't seem that long ago, it was long ago.  Thanks for the memories.
  • And there you have it.  I was in B platoon in 2 truck with guys like Russ Amar, Gerry Webb and Sgt. Lefevre (who I named Sgt. Surprise because of his ruddy complexion and light eyebrows, it seemed that he looked into a Bunsen Burner just as it was lit and it backfired). Then I was in base transport @ CFB Toronto 74 - 77.  I especially remember driving fot CNE Airshows, Queen Mother's visit and of course the 76 Olympics.  I'm sure that you were part of all of those adventures.  Good times!
  • Hi Larry,

Thanks for replying so quickly.  I have recognized your pics and name but have been in so many places one has difficulty remembering where or when. I was in Rafah Apr 65 to Apr 66 and Camp Maple Leaf, Cyprus 1968. Other places 2 Tpt - 1964 to 65, 3 RCASC Kingston 66 - 68. I was out of the reg force from the end of 68 until 74 (served in reserve 25 Svc Bn)  Re-enlisted in 74, CFB Toronto 74 - 77, Lahr 77 - 79 then 1 Svc Bn until 82 (including a tour in UNDOF).

Anyway, I'm sure we've crossed paths. I never forget a pretty face, eh.:)

    Best regards,

    Terry

  • Hi Larry,

Had dinner tonight with Glen Numbers. He spends the winter in Chandler, Arizona about 20 miles from were Connie and I are in Mesa, AZ.

  • Larry, now I'm not sure that you are who I thought you might have been. If you were in Toronto in the early 70's, I was there with you. We worked in Heavy Equipment for Frank Fast, Earl (something) Lou Parps, Claude Biddell, and others.
I left there in 74, went to Penhold. Donnie Reader
  • Hey Larry. I was just looking at the MSEOP Page and I don't think I made an entry on your page. It is good to hear about you after all these years. A special thanks to you for starting this wonderful page. What an opportunity to renew/ reconnect with Friends from years gone by. i am interested to find out all about you. Take care, Donnie Reader.
