  • Hey Bob...Back at ya and yes I am the old OR admin at the Whitehouse.  I remember you well, and hope all is well with you and the family.  Good days back then, and a great bunch of guys and gals to be associated with.  Sorry I took so long to get back to you.  Had a bit of a run with my health, and am still in the battle, but all in all things are good.  Take care of yourself, and keep in touch if you can.

  • Hey Bob, yeah, it's me, with a lot more grey hair and no moustache. How've you been?

Currently living in Orleans with my partner Sharon, she's a nurse at the Madonna Long-Term Care facility there. Just like all the other old dogs, working at CSE, but hopefully only for another couple of years. Glad to hear from you!

    Take Care,

    Dan

  • Hi Bob:

Yes, we were at the Reunion but only for the "Meet 'n Greet" portion of it.  Had a few pop, met a lot of people I haven't seen for a long while and basically thoroughly enjoyed myself.  We've gone every five years and they are always a fun event.

Hope you are doing well and maybe we'll see you at the next one.

    Take Care

  • Hi, I am a member of that legion and Mike and Cathy Peachy live across the river in the East end by the Base. I knew John and Liz very well but haven't had contact in years, not sure were they are. They have an Oltimers(291ers) reunion in Ottawa every year. This year is the 24 June weekend..events on Friday nite, saturday and sunday mornings. I'll see if i can locate them...Take care  .....Doug
  • I forgot all about Chris, lots of people over lots of years. Your Name stood right out when I first saw it, however, couldn't get the ole brain to kick out any info. We musta met in Inuvik, one of my tours was 73 to 75 and I went to Bermuda from there. Spent a lot of my time in Legion   lol ... have a great New Year Bob and all the best to you and yours for a healthy and safe new Year...Doug
  • Hi Bob, I never got to Churchill although I did 4 tours in Inuvik. You may have ran into Pete Fletcher(no relation, but good friend) who was also a 291er. I occasionally run into some old 291ers in Kingston, there are quite a few retired in this area. Also, the school is located in Kingston, that was where I retired from(Standards) in 1990. There are a lot of retirees in Ottawa and I try to get up to their luncheons a couple of times a year. If there is anyone in particular that you are curious about, let me know and I'll do my best to locate them.   Doug
