  • Doug:  thanks for seasons greetings reply, and update on Cal and Dolly's situation.  please keep me informed,  I don't have your home email so will use VOC . I'll give Donnie Pearson a call, as he lives 15 blocks south of me.....where I expected to see Cal & Dolly on move back!  Take care.  Willy

  •   Hi Doug:

Good hearing from you . All is okay and still working at Home Depot. Still miss the old days from Spar particulary the great group of guys that I worked with. See your brother Dale every once in a while as he drops in whenever he is in the city. Hope this note finds you and family okay and everything going well

  • May remembers that incident. Glad to hear the little guy was okay. Shari, our daughter is pushing 45, has a son (16), in grade ten and he is a paintball fanatic.

I'll have to play that course in the summer of 2012. We are going to a firefighters reunion in Vernon and I plan to play a few courses in the area, so I'll put it on my list.

Great to reconnect with you, "neighbour".

  • She sure was.

We are in Burnaby now and both retired. I'm getting back into golf and we are enjoying what time we have left on this old planet.

If you are ever out this way, give us a shout. My e-mail address is capndan@shaw.ca.

    Take care,

    Dan & May

  • Hi Doug,

Did you have a mobile home on the base in the early 70's? We had a Warriner family living next door to us to the south and if the old memory serves me, he also was a part time trucker on days off.

  • I remember you in 2 Hgr.  But I am not suer I was still there when you went to the Muni.  Was Don Taylor the Program Manager there?  I left in Jan. 98.  Went to Work for CCI Thermal Technologies, where I still work.  We bought a Company in Indiana in 2001 and I went down there to run it.  Four years later we bought in Orillia, On (not far from Borden) and here I am.

I am retiring end of May.  I've had enough!  It looks like you got a great spot in BC.

We bought a place in Florida so I am looking forward to getting out of here for the winters.

Good to hear from you.  this is a great site!

    Ron

  • Doug, Where did you work at CAE? My memory is failing.
  • Doug: good to hear from you. Thnx for info on Cal & Dolly...he had quite a go I understand, so maybe with Donnie close by, will make it easier for Dolly.  I understand the cold and snow concerns...my blood is thinnin' out, and I like the warmth as well as easier walking areas...not like the -30C and 40cm snow piled up around my abode! Stay comfortable my friend, and by all means, in Touch!  Enjoy your years.  Willy
  • Doug.  How's life treating you in the mountains.  Don't you miss us in Edmonton and the cold snowy weather?  Willy
