Yep, I'm in Kanata and have been since 1987. (Stittsville from 81 to 87).
Stayed here as my 2 boys are here with grandchildren of course. The years are crawling up on us for sure. I retired for good in '96. Health is pretty good but did have some health challenges in '87 and '91. Did you stay in for the duration ? Too bad, I didn't know that you were in the area. What brought you back to Manitoba ?
(I did 7 years in Winnipeg '67 to 74) Loved the posting! Had to drag the family away from there.
Emery Appears you joined a year ahead of me, I was on 6151 , joined in Halifax and after 35 years never got closer than Ottawa to the east coast. Had some good times, seen a lot of the world. Started off in Stn Vancouver at Sea Island, Trenton for 9 months then Pakistan ( UNIPOM) came back to Comox for six years then to North Bay when 414 Sqn moved up from St Hubert. After six years off to 4 WING Baden for 5 years repated to Kingston for 6 years then Ottawa for my last posting. Good times all.
Emery Do you work for Lockheed Martin? Name is familiar as I was site co-ord at Comox for eight years with Claude Dufault working for Bob Adkins. Regardless nice to see another RCAF member. I joined in 1961 in Halifax and retired in 1996 out of DGProc S. Worked a bit on the CFSS upgrade and finally took up residence on the west coast.
Yes, the pull of grandchildren brought us back, finally. All of them are in the USA, but at least we can drive. Flying is no fun these days- unless we can be strapped down to a load!

Hi Emery
Good to see you are still alive and kickin! We are here in Cobourg, ON for the duration.
Do you hear from Eve Denham at all?
Kind Regards
