  • Hi John, I'm still not completely familiar with this site, so I've left this message in a couple of locations.  Yes, I did work for LM in Montreal and Kanata. I remember your name, and I recall several phone conversations with Claude. I retired from LM in June 2011, and re-located to Gimli. Bob Adkins has also left LM, and lives in Arnprior. I joined the RCAF 52 years ago, on 1 Nov 60, and was on Manning Depot course 6101. I retired from the Airforce in Greenwood in 85.

  • I was on 6403 at St. Jean and remember Cpl. O'Ree quite clearly.  Good Discip.  Strangely enough, while at Clinton awaiting my ComOp course to start, I met Fred Court and worked for him in the SWO's office.  Fred was assistant SWO, a likeable guy, and even allowed me to type out my own pass to facilitate leaving the station early on Friday and not having to return until 8 AM on Monday until my course began.  Sure made a difference in my weekends off!

  • Hey John,

Not sure if I commented on your thread or not. I was off in Alaska latter part of August and beginning of September. Yes, I was with both 3Mech and 3RCR 75-81. I was the Tech Sgt in the RCR QM and before that I ran the Spare Parts Section over in the RCEME Shop. Just digitized some 35mm slides from that time last winter, brought back a lot of memories. If you remeber Ed Anderson (WO at that time in the Sigs section and Baden Rube Band member) he lives close to where I am here in East Central Alberta.

Anyway, Merry Christmas John and thanks for the note.
