I like the idea, however also prefer a Veteran Ring, not Cornwallis.A large group of us from the Kootenay 1969 had a ring made by Charm, the price was approximately 200 bucks.Sterling silver large with the black in it.
Hi Don: It looks like our interests run parallel. I served 37 years in the Navy as a Shipwright/ Hull Tech and have been involved with the Chief and POs Assn. for 20 years and The Victoria Branch of the Navy League for 35 years. I get great satisfaction out of my association with both groups. Not bad for two groups with so many years difference in age. Cheers, Don
Hi Don i served on The Athabaskan 1959 1960 my last trip on it was the BIG Storm I was LSTD 2 , I also spent 2 years on the Micmac . Got out after 5 went back to Pickering Ont Oh yes I know Oshawa well . I will be in Uxbridge for Xmas , I am a member of the ADPNA have heard your name a few time and think that we may have meet some time over the years, Cheers Gord
Sure do ! His name Bob Leblanc, he retired,I believe in the 80's and went into the construction business in the Herring Cove area outside of Halifax. Appearently he did quite well. I understand that he now resides somewhere in Lunenburg County ,but is not a member of our Association.
