Back in Canada and I am already frozen. Miss my 105F temp. I'll be back to the homestead in 2012 for another six months of hermit/biker living. Gotta love it!
Hey Rick, long time no hear! Life's good for Kora & I, about to head down the cottage in NS for the summer. Your retirement (!) and mine are 100% different, seems like we never stop these days - makes me wonder where I ever found time to go to work. Take care amigo, Chuck
You have not changed a bit, my friend. You look healthy. Long....long time no see.
I am down at my homestead right now in Texas. Come down here in the winter to ride. Other times of the year I am back home in Calgary with the wife, also where most of my adult kids and grandkids live. My youngest son is in Edmonton with my old regt PPCLI, 1st bn.
Cancel my last about Getting Gary to be your friend, etc. His is already your friend.. Getting tired. It;s 1240 hours local and I have a computer job tomorrow (have my own business after working from 1997 to 2002 at a local computer shop. Here is my Business info:

I had to quickly end and save my last comment as I hit the 2000 character mark (which is common for me) Anyway, to continue:
When I was in 706 Commsqn Borden 1976-1981, Gary was in 706 Commsqn Det, Toronto, so we saw each other at squadron parties and elsewhere. When I was serving with 743 Commsqn Penhold between 1981 and 2003, he and his wife Ann came in and spent three years before being transferred, while I spent a no-cost posting with 749(Red Deer) Reserve Communication Troop, now Squadron, a Regular Force Training Advisor (RFAT) from 1986 to 1991, and was then posted back to 743 Commsqn. I was promoted to MWO that year, and took my release the next year to join the Snivel Service on the newly built Centralized Attendent Services (CAS) computerized Switchboard, which answered for all the bases in Western Canada, except for the Air Force Bases. To make a long story longer, they closed Penhold in 1993 and I moved to Calgary with the CAS gang When I released from the Regs to join Cas, I also joined the Reserves at 749. Then in 1976, they closed Calgary and moved Cas to Quebec (go figure) I packed it in and moved back to Red Deer, where I remained with the Reserves until Ottawa kicked me out age age 55. No extension for someone who was running the entire IS section at the Red Deer Armoury. Gary had got out of the Regs and moved back to Red Deer and had also joined 749, before my retirement. He was then appointed as the WO I/C IS. Therefore we have known each other for 46 years. From the start to the end of my 33 year career. He now lives in Red Deer and my wife Diane and I see them very frequently. You should go onto his page, look around and make him your friend. After all, he created the Gulf War group so you and others could join.
I remember you from years ago...I was a pee-on...so you would not remember me - but thanks for friending me.
Regards - Rick

Well now, Judging by your Bio, I just can't see where our paths would have crossed, and I remember everyone - even Peons. Therefore, I think you are one of those VAC spies/imposters. Cape Canaveral, my "Rectal Passage". You could be in Moncton, or Kirkland Lake, or Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, or in the VAC call centre recently built in the Quebec riding of our esteemed (no miliary experience) Minister of Veterans Affairs (go figure eh?) And look at who one of your friends is: That wimpy Sig Op, soon to be an ACIS (which anyone knows - means "Anal Orifice") Son-in-Law of mine who can't even spell Pussycat! Well I have to be honest and say that Frank is one real tough guy. Not because he served in Afghanistan, but because he married my daughter. I also note on your friends list, he and I are on the same line, and separated by my best friend - Gary Stewart, who created the Gulf War Veterans site. Did you ever run into Gary over there? He was given the job as Sqn Sgt Major while he was there, even though he was a bluejob and working CFARS. He and I have known each other since we were posted together at 8CU Trenton, now known as 708 Communication Squadron, Trenton. We worked together in the Commcen for about a year and then I was sent to work with Trenton Macs.
Hi Rick, Good to hear from you. Lots of water under the bridge since we last met. I'm retired and living in the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island with wife Sandy. Welcome aboard and keep in touch OM. Neill

Heh Rick
Sorry for taking such a long time in replying. For some reason or other I just notice that you had sent me a request... Must be old age.
How are things? Good I hope. Things are great down here in N.B.
Cheers
