  • Yes Frank, one of the good things here is seeing a lot of the old guys, we have a breakfast the last Friday of every month in Orleans, I don't know if you are on the list that Merv Embury maintains, if not let me know and I will forward you a copy, we get between 35 to 60 out each month, take care

  • Still in Ottawa Frank, same addressl. Looking to move to something smaller but hard to find at a reasonable price. Health is excellent, hope that you're the same buddy.

  • I'm working in Wainwright at the moment...hubby got posted here in 2009.  I'm still a "Class B Junkie".  I'll have 25 years in the Reserves completed as of tomorrow :o)  and in March, I'll have 24 years full time completed so can retire with a a 50% pension in March 2012.  I have worked with the Health Services for 13 years now - my current position is Superintendent Clerk of 1 H Svcs Gp HQ in Edmonton but they let me keep my job when we moved here, so I'm kind of a lone satellite entity!!  Hubby is pencilled in for Edmonton in 2012 (he's getting promoted to MWO this year) so we're hoping that actually happens.  We spent 18 years in Edmonton...hubby went there as a Pte no hook out of QL3 and left as a WO!  I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do when I grow up ;o)  but I'm leaning towards starting a Bed & Breakfast & Bale (travellers will be able to board their horses overnight) as our next home will be an acreage so we can stop paying board for our horses and have them on our own land.
  • Frank Stokes CD3

I worked at the Chateau for awhile , but most of the time

    I worked in the Bunker.

  • Thanks Frank. Where did you work?
  • Hi Frank (strange to call you "Frank" instead of "Sir"!!)!!  I worked for you at CFCC HQ 88 - 90.  Hope that all is going well with you!  I'm still in the Reserves and still working working full time on Class B - I'll have 25 years completed on the 25th of January, 24 years full time completed as of March!!  I'm a WO now and we are currently posted to Wainwright (since Jul 09).  I've never forgotten your involvement in arranging for my Class C job at 749 back in 1990 when Capt Don Morris was the CO there....  I've always appreciated your efforts in making it so!! I met my hubby (almost 20 years together!) while living in Penhold and working at 749 and I would never have met him without your "help"!!
  • What years were you in Penhold, Frank?
  • Welcome Aboard - Frank.  I see your name a lot on Neil Watsons distribution list and I have met you sometime during my career, but can't remember where.  For some reason, CCOC Ottawa comes to mind.  Do you by chance know Bob Harkness? Once you join some of the other groups, (Signals, etc) it will probably come to me. I have had postings to 708 Commsqn Trenton, 706 Commsqn Borden and 743 Commsqn Penhold, as well as two tours at 1 Sigs Sqn calgary and a couple of middle-east postings.

Good to see you here and will chat with you later.

    John
