  • Hi Ken

    I served on Bonnie 1969-1970 and Nipigon 1970-1972

    Your name sounds familiar. Were you on these ships during these times??

    My name is Dave Gallant (nickname spud) obviously from PEI and was an OS/AB sparker

  • Hi again Ken

    What are u doing in Moncton. thought you were with NSLC in Sackville, NS. Saw you on the (RCN) Communicatiors web page a while ago. We had a heck of a good time on the Nipigon. I spent 4 out of 30 years on her and still the best time of my career. You have a great day.  Cheers  Ron

  • Hi Ken;

    Yes I remember you...its been a long time. Other RPs were Jim Wright and Ron Hector. We had a lot of fun in those days, it was a good life and never a dull moment. anyone who says they don't miss it never put the effort in. Take care my friend; maybe someday someone will get us all together again for a snort and a yarn.

    Cheers

  • Dunc Beaton lives down the South Shore...Bill Mercier moved back from Ont and is living down that way too...Him and Dunc are pretty close....Bill is a member of the NS Daylily Society as are the wife and I...and yes, the Comm reunion is an annual event and has been for about 40 years...until amalgamation, the Sigs had put on an Xmas party/reunion since about 1971 or so...after the sigs and sparkers amalgamated, it became the Communicator Xmas Party...This year it was Fri 17th Dec...I normally get a heads up a month or so before the party from buddies still in..send me a missive at saugen48@yahoo.com and I will get hold of you next year to let you know..pass the word on to Jim and see if he might be interested...Is "Cuddles" Taylor up your way too????
  • At the Comm Xmas party, ran into Ken Dawe who I havent seen in steen...Was just at a retirement party yesterday for Todd Billard (Kevin Greenings stepson) he is retiring after 20 years and is going to work for Halifax Traffic...Earl Corn was there as well as Avalon Ralph....At the Xmas party seen Hugh Cooke, Bobby Baker, Bill Poole, Jim Huvvy(sp)..That`s about all that come to mind at present...Often wonder how Jim Webster is doing, I understand that he was living up your way (Moncton)
