Nice to hear from you Phil. We are living in Lake Echo, when we are home. Have been retired for five years now, don't know where the time has gone. How did we ever have the time to do anything when we were still in. Will be home until the first of March and then we are heading south again. Don't get much change to keep in touch with people when we are on the road. Internet is very scarce on the desert in Arizona. Keep in touch. Colen
I served 56 years ago 1955--- 1960 RCN & like than if you had a problem in most cases it was one of those who were like our fathers and would help us the Cheif , I write this thinking of one CPO Board Spanky It is great to see this is still there in our family RCN , Thanks Chief Rody from a old sailor
I eventually built a house on Morris island just outside Arnprior. I am not sure if you were ever at the lot. It is quiet here and worth the drive into Ottawa.
I have 7 grand children spread from from the Ottawa area to Guelph. My oldest, Amanda just graduated from Ottawa U and will write her bar exam this week. The remaining are slowly finishing high school. They are all doing quite well, Kyle looking forward to joining the CF - probably in the RCDs as he has been an army cadet for the past 4 years.
What a time when we all get together as it is quite the crowd. Good thing thing I live in the bush.
Every time I dig a post hole, I think of that day in Orleans when you helped me put in a few - I just use a shovel now those flying trips across the yard have lost their appeal.
I retired a couple of time s and now doing part time contract work. That is especially good in the winter as it cold sitting on a park bench feeding the pigeons. LOL LOL A nice warm government building is better.
What have you been up to? How is the Miramichi, I have not been there in 10 years, probabaly has not changed that much.
Good to hear from an old Yukon crewmember ! - I Commissioned the ship in 1963 and brought her east - then drafted back aboard to bring her back the second time ! - Not sure of the year for the second trip ! - - - Actually it was Commander "Cocks" who eventually retired as Commodore and retired in Maders Cove - just outside of Mahone Bay N.S. - - The finest commander I ever sailed under ! - - - Al Cox (He told my wife once that she was lucky she spelled her name the way we did as opposed to what he had to put up with !
Nice to hear from you. Hope everything is going well for you. As for me not much going on
leading a quiet life in Dartmouth. Waiting for spring and golf. I switched from tthe Centennial legion to the Sommes legion. The only reason was location. Easier access. So I haven't seen Yvan much lately. Jane and I are planning to get together for a beer in the near future.
