Sincere thanks for the kind words re my UNEF-1 (1957-58) photos. To be honest, it was seeing your photos that inspired me to do the same.
Yes, the slides were "cutting edge" in those days ... I recall working with ASA 10 Kodachrome ... and thinking it was a "leap" in photo speed when ASA 12 hit the market.
Five-in-one ration packs ... I remember them well. Designed to feed five men for one day, or one man for five days. I really enjoyed the small tins of Vienna Breakfast Sausage.
I see you are residing in Surrey, BC. Helga and I are living in Perth, Ontario these days. We did reside in Langley, BC between 1999 and 2008 after my retirement from Nortel.
Bob Goodbe is a member of our Shrine club, and our Lodge, and he has a place on Sherriden Lake, also Bob Irwin (Bo Bo the Clown) summers up here. We usually have the Drum & bugel Crop. up for the Williams Lake stampede so we get to know them . We get about 5 to 6000 spectators for the parade so its quite an event, haven't sold Gizeh on it yet but maybe one day.

Hi Bob,
Well Iguess we must know one another, because we always went to Don & Bea Camerons place after the parade, and I haven't missed a parade since 1991.
I will dig out some of my old photos and check them out or send them to you for your perusal. Check this one out
