  • Thanks for the info Fred.  I got out in 93 but I never joined the TO Police.  I went back for 9 months on Class B to set up the ADM DIS branch.  I ran in to Wes Boucher it must of been around 1984/5 on the ranges in Pet.  Gary I hadn,t seen since leaving 1RCHA  Talk later.

  • Fred I see you were a Medic.  Did you ever run across Don Fraser.  I lost track of him when he left 3RCR Germany Also there was a (First name escapes me) Birchill.

  • Hi Fred, I meet you when I was posted to BMH Iserlohn 1966-69. I pulled the pin in 75 and joined Corrections Canada in BC and retired in 2008. I saw Al Dorko is a member of this site and is in Vedder BC. Stay well and enjoy retirement.

  • Hi Fred its Gary Young again, sorry to keep bothering you about my little problem determining the date my wife Beppie arrived in Canada.  Anyway Fred Bep remembers a person on the return flight by the name of Bozan, or Bozain something like that.  Was talking to Al Dorko and he thought if anybody new him it would be you. Just trying to get last name spelling and a first name so that with any luck he will have some idea of the date we actually returned and I can go from there.

    Thanks for any help Fred

  • Hi Fred,

I cant believe it's been 2 1/2 years (October 12, 2010) since the last time we exchanged comments. I am back now to advise you that I have just set up a CAMP BORDEN group and invite you to join it.

I'll also ask you to tell all of your friends about the new group.

    Best Regards

  • Way tooooo new for Sr!!!!
  • Hi Fred,

Glad to have a way to contact you now. Best of the New Year to you and yours.

  • Hi Fred,
I'm glad it is you. It's been 29 long years (as you can tell by my photo) since I left Boredom and Anguish as a MCPL. I was posted to 743 Commsqn Penhold (another bunker). I spent 5 years with them, got locally posted as a Regular Force Advisor to 749 Communication Troop, Red Deer, 10 miles away, and then posted back to 743 and took my release in 1993 as an MWO. Lots more to tell you and will talk to you later. Before I go, whatever happened to Byron LLoyd. I lost contact with him
  • Hi Fred,
Are you perhaps the Fred Funston who owned a Taxi Company in Angus, just outside Camp Borden. If you are, I was one of your part-time drivers.
  • I'm well thanks Fred, still in Elliot Lake. Just got back from a trip to BC
